Holiday rentals - what's the worst that could happen?

Jeff and Martha book a holiday rental for a relaxing weekend away. The landlord is on site for key collection between 3pm and 9pm. The happy couple set off after work, but they hit a traffic jam on the M1. By the time they arrive at the holiday let, the landlord is long gone.

They drive around looking for a hotel, but everything is booked up. They eventually run out of petrol and have to walk 14 miles in the pouring rain to the nearest bus station. They get the coach back home and spend the weekend watching reruns of Murder She Wrote.

Holiday rentals - the Codelocks way

Jeff and Martha book a holiday rental for a relaxing weekend away. Upon completing the transaction, they are automatically sent a code to access the property. They arrive at the property at 11pm, pop their time-sensitive code into the CL5510 and have access to the property right away. They have such a wonderful break that Jeff impulsively asks Martha to marry him. Of course, she says yes and they live happily ever after, returning to the property every year.

Serviced apartments - what's the worst that could happen?

Dave is staying in serviced apartments in Manchester. He's there for the week working on a bid that could be a game changer for his company. The night before his big pitch, he decides to take a leisurely stroll along the canal to clear his mind. He returns to his apartment to find that his keycard is missing from his pocket. It must have fallen out while he was feeding the ducks!

He heads down to the front desk, but nobody is around. He calls the number on the website and is told someone will be along shortly. Four hours later, he is back in his apartment, but it is too late to prep for the big day. His firm loses the contract.

Dave is staying in serviced apartments. Like before, he is given a smartcard to access the property. The night before his big pitch, he decides to take a leisurely stroll but when he returns, he finds that his keycard is missing from his pocket. It must have fallen out while he was feeding the ducks! He calls the number on the website and within seconds he is texted an override code for the door. The code is temporary and will automatically cease working after 30 minutes.

He's back in his apartment with enough time to go over his notes and enjoy a nice hot bubble bath. He has a great night's sleep and impresses all at the presentation. His firm wins the bid and he is swiftly promoted to Senior Vice President.

Securing personal property - what's the worst that could happen?

Julia is a graduate wedding photographer and is hired for a photoshoot out of town. She can't afford a hotel and so looks for a room on AirBnB. Because she has a lot of expensive equipment, she makes a point of looking for a property with a safe.

She discovers that this isn't a standard service offered by most AirBnB hosts and so she takes a chance and books a room with decent reviews.

Upon arrival, she heads out to explore her new surroundings, leaving her expensive equipment under the bed. Sadly, a cat burglar manages to scale the wall while she's out, stealing her precious equipment and disappearing into the night. She loses the job, finds out that her insurance has lapsed and is forced to take various temp jobs until she can afford a new camera.

Securing personal property - the Codelocks way

Julia is looking to book an AirBnB for a photography job out of town. She needs to know that her equipment will be secure when she is out of the house.

She finds a property that has installed coded locks on the cabinets in the bedroom. Once she's settled in, she heads off to explore her new surroundings, leaving her equipment secured in the locked cabinet. While she's out, a cat burglar manages to scale the wall, but is flummoxed by the features of the KL1000 RFID installed on the cabinets. He is so frustrated by the experience he leaves empty-handed.

Julia's wedding shoot is a huge success. Her pictures scoop her the award for best newcomer in Weddings Weekly and she goes on to be one of the most successful photographers in the country.
